first boss: Tempus Leporidae

Tempus Leporidae was once a powerful mage who specialized in the magic of time--now considered a taboo area of study and taught as an example of arrogance to young apprentices. When he was human, Tempus Leporidae was sought from all over by people desperate to live forever. He could only de-age his clients a decade or two. But he eagerly sold his services and secretly performed experiments so that he could learn the secret to immortality. His clients were happy for many years. Eventually, time would work its magic and they would slowly return to the age they were before Tempus Leporidae performed his spells. However, instead returning to a normal aging cycle, his clients would rapidly age over the course of a few days until they died and became mummified corpses.

As soon as this was discovered, there was a public outcry and the Guild of Magic was forced to take action. Tempus Leporidae escaped. He then attempted a spell that could transport him back in time to a place before he was discovered. His magic backfired and he became cursed into his current form and remains trapped between dimensions.

Today, Tempus Leporidae wanders the realm between worlds in limbo without magic. He is bereft of humanity and sanity, and clings to one goal: gathering enough magic to return him to his original form. Occasionally, magic leaks into limbo and he is able to gather it into his hourglass staff. Once he has enough, he rips open the fabric of time and forces himself into the world our mages reside in. Every time he appears, time gets distorted and it is up to the mages to force him back into limbo!
